A 130wb ford transit with a twist

This is a 2023 Ford Transit low roof 130 crew van. The customers had a very specific build criteria and layout in mind. This is not so much a camper van as a road trip/weekend warrior machine. They wanted to be able to be self sufficient while on adventures and trips without the need to stop at restaurants or gas stations all the time. As well as provide a place to lounge, store all their gear and have a place to sleep in a pinch if needed. The bench is also removeable to place the factory crew seat for additional seating for the grand kids!

This layout affords just that. The front area has dual swivels on the captains chairs, and the bench pulls out to provide a base to sleep on. A secondary mattress covers the swiveled seats and the bench to provide the necessary comfort for those limited use nights.

Moving back you’ll find the galley area. This area houses the fridge, a sink and plenty of storage. The electrical system is also tucked away in this area. Making this tight area fit all the desired needs was a task indeed.

In the rear you’ll find storage compartments that all have designated uses, along with the guts of the jug based water system. The rear area of the van is carpeted with very durable carpeting to help with noise and wear and is very versatile.

The exterior of the van was fitted out with lights and a winch from Sportsman Light Truck in Kamloops as well as a roof rack and Fiamma from Nirvana Outfitters in Salmon Arm.
